Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Mill Rate Calculator collects, why, how long it is kept, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable US state privacy laws.
1. Who we are
Mill Rate Calculator (millratecalculator.online) is operated by WPSani.store, Torino, Italy, VAT no. 12343720012, which is the data controller. Contact: support@wpsani.store
2. Data we collect
Numbers you enter in the calculator
Assessed value, millage rate and exemption are sent to our server to compute the result or build your PDF report, and are discarded as soon as the response is sent. We do not store them, and we do not record what you do on the page.
IP address (free PDF limit)
To enforce the daily limit of free PDF reports, we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) together with a daily count. These records are deleted automatically after 30 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest (preventing abuse of a free service).
Server logs
Like any web server, ours logs each request (IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, time). These logs are used only for security and troubleshooting and are deleted after 14 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest (keeping the service secure and working).
Email address and purchase data
When you buy the PDF Report pack, Stripe collects your payment details and email address. We receive your email address and store it with your license key, so we can send you the key, provide support and handle refunds. We never see your full card number. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for the accounting records we must keep.
Appeal Kit waitlist
If you ask to be notified when the Appeal Kit launches, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the time, and the consent text you agreed to. We use it only to send you one email when the Appeal Kit launches, then delete it. If it never launches, we delete your email within 12 months of signup. We do not share it or add it to any other list. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing support@wpsani.store; we will delete your email.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (answering your request).
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics
(Community Edition), which we host ourselves at analytics.wpsani.store.
Plausible does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. It produces only aggregate
statistics: page views, referrers, country, device type, file downloads, and anonymous
events about how the site is used (for example "calculation done", "PDF downloaded",
"checkout started", "joined the Appeal Kit waitlist"). These events never include the
numbers you enter or your email address.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (understanding and improving the service).
3. Cookies and browser storage
We do not set any cookies. If you buy the PDF Report pack, your license key is kept in your
browser's localStorage and a short-lived session token in
sessionStorage; a local counter of free PDF downloads is kept the same way.
This data stays on your device and is sent to our server only to validate your license.
Fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page does not contact third parties.
The Stripe checkout page (on stripe.com) may set cookies under Stripe's own privacy policy.
4. How long we keep data
- Calculator inputs: not stored.
- Hashed IP records: 30 days.
- Server logs: 14 days.
- Email and license data: as long as your license can be used, then for the period Italian law requires us to keep accounting records (10 years), or until you ask us to delete what we are not required to keep.
- Appeal Kit waitlist: until the launch email is sent, and at most 12 months.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
5. Who processes data for us
- Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- DigitalOcean, LLC — hosting of this website and of our analytics (United States). DigitalOcean Privacy Policy
- Namecheap, Inc. — our email provider, used to send license keys and answer support requests. Namecheap Privacy Policy
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. International transfers
Our server is in the United States, so the data above is processed there. DigitalOcean and Stripe are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; their data processing agreements add the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification of inaccurate data.
- Erasure of your data, except what we must keep by law.
- Restriction of processing.
- Portability of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have similar rights to know, correct and delete your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any right, email support@wpsani.store. We reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority where you live.
8. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you by email before it applies.
